A poem… and our family trip to Sunriver!

Poem – author unknown:

Dear Friends and Family,

I do not have a face to see,
Or put inside a frame.
I do not have soft cheeks to kiss.
I don’t yet have a name.

Not yet can you hold my tiny hands,
Nor whisper in my ear.
It’s still too soon to sing a song,
Or cuddle me so near.

But all that will change come this October;
When they say I am due.
I am your newest baby friend;
And I can’t wait until I meet you!

All I ask between now and then
Is your love for me to grow.
I promise I’ll be worth the wait;
Just think of all the joy we’ll know!

So as you’re waiting patiently,
Please pray lots of prayers for me.
I cannot wait to be a part
Of this wonderful family!

And without further ado, both Brian and my family went to Sunriver for a long weekend. For those who don’t know, Melissa is 26 weeks.

    There is nothing more exciting than knowing a new life has been created!!!! Can’t wait to meet him/her!!!!

    The weekend was great fun. Thanks so much for hosting us ALL! Good food, good company, good games. What could be better?

    BTW, A&M and dad and I talked boy names most of the way home…. so you could get some ideas from their rejects. (if you don’t mind a boy being named after a road on the Santiam pass — it was getting kinda bad towards the end of the trip) hehe. Wouldn’t it be cool to get at least one boy out of these two events?

    Ok, so WHAT? I know you wouldn’t tell me your pregnant through a blog post. So is Melissa having a boy? Or are YOU having a boy? Are you having ANYTHING? October is 8 months away which is toooooo far away for it to be Melissa’s you’re talking about RIGHT? So what in the WORLD? Tell me quick so I can breath.

    Oh, and you ARE going to find out what you’re having (praying all goes well) right? Cause you know I’m on this baby making things for kick and I’m going to be dying to make you some stuff. Melissa will have to wait till she has hers since I refuse to make a gender neutral anything for her…sorry, they just don’t make gender neutral fabric that is cute! Or I just see it as “definitely a boy pattern” or “Definitely a girl pattern” I may have a problem.

    Oh, and PS: I’m SOOOO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!!!!!!! This is one way to itch that ‘want a baby’ itch.

    Congratulations!! How wonderful! I can’t wait to hear if it’s a girl or a boy and what names you are thinking about! How are you feeling? So how many months will there be between Anna and baby 2?

    Close to 2 years, 6 months! I’m starting to feel nauseous when I’m tired or haven’t eaten recently (I’m six weeks tomorrow) so it’s beginning. We still have a boy name from Anna’s pregnancy (James Edward) but need to work on girl names!

    That’s great spacing! I’m sorry you are starting not to feel well, I hope it doesn’t last long. Just keep snacking, resting and drinking your water! I like your boy name. Are the names family names, or do you just like them? Will you call him James or use a nickname like Jamie. I personally always thought Jamie was a great nickname for a boy. 🙂

    Oh and then she said “Congratulations”
