Adoption Update and pictures of the girls

Our paperwork that requests immigration (USCIS) to approve us for two children was sent in last Saturday. We got the receipt in the mail and our check is cashed. Now it goes through whatever process it goes through to be mailed to our officer in MO. Once she gets it, it is only a day or two until we get approval. I think. 🙂

When we get that approval in the mail, we will rush to notarize it, apostille it and ship it overseas! Then the clock will start ticking again. We will travel hopefully in June for our first trip. Pray for miraculous speed and getting our boys home! Really, God has comforted our hearts so much as we wait to take care of them. We know that God has not forsaken them.

Thank you all for caring and loving our family!

Playing make believe! We have a pool and a fort in our living room. Just look hard!

The sun came out Friday! Yay! We had a fun Friday outside. Here we are at the park:

Then we packed up and drove to Hoyt Aboretum for a little walk and some sunshine.

Thanks, Brian for carrying Maggie! Maggie was funny, sticking her legs straight out!

Happy to be released to stomp on a mole hill:

Spring feels good!!!!

Headed back to the car. Latest parenting trick (that we haven’t learned yet): how to get Maggie to walk when she’s happy to be dragged by one arm.

The chicken tractor is finished! It rolls good! Need some manpower to lift it into the backyard, though. The chicks will be old enough to move into it in a week or two! They did play in it while we cleaned their cage, though.

Putting in the last wire “panel.” Here’s the ladder up to where the nests and roost are. Hope they use it.

It will be sad to put stinky, dirty chickens in the pretty coop.

Chicks checking out their future digs:
