Number one reason this blog is here is obvious, so you will read it. 🙂 It keeps our far-flung (and fornent) friends and family, the few folks on this flanet fearth that might not be fored out of their finds by hearing about all the far-fetched things we do to pass the fime. (was that too many fs?)
The second reason however contains much less alliteration and is more self centered. You see I noticed the other day that lots of my entries begin with a disclaimer to the general public. (for extra credit find such warnings and post them in the comments, for extra-extra credit make up your own!) I wondered to myself, why is this so? Am I unconfident in my writing? Am I afraid I will bore my audience? The answer is well, I write for my own sake and don’t really believe you are all that interested in my mental leftovers. After the school work is done, after my project notebook has been filled, my code written, and the love note for Rachel composed, whatever is left in my rattle-trap of a brain gets off loaded here. I don’t have much confidence in the content of my writing on this blog because I just don’t put much effort into it.
What am I going to do about it you ask? Nothing, nada. I decided that what sets this blog apart from the rest of the vast heap of tripe called the blogosphere (aside from a truly daunting vocabulary) is it’s lack of pretensions. Or maybe after reexamining the previous sentence, it’s unflinching contradictions.
as seen on a recent post: **WARNING: Geek mode=ON**
as seen in my mind: *WARNING: Tired mode=ON** 😉 but also, its nice to read your posts. they’re an easy way to relax, and procrastinate! so post often 😉
