How the weekend does fly by!!!

So I cannot forget Anna, not that I’d ever want to, because she frequently makes herself known with her kicks, rolls and punches. She thrills her excited mommy to pieces, but I do hope that her strength does not grow proportionally to her size or I am going to have to take serious measures to keep her from climbing out my stomach before she’s full term! I am very thrilled to say that I am starting to show a little bit of a pregnant belly! Over the course of Thanksgiving and since, I have grown enough that my normal pants do not fit whatsoever! So I ran to Ross and bought a couple pair of maternity jeans with nice stretchy waistlines that will tide me over until I fit into full-blown maternity clothes with giant ugly panels. 😉

So it seems like it was just Friday…. but it’s almost Monday and I’m not quite sure where the time went! I certainly have not accomplished much on my To Do list and I have even added a couple projects! Yesterday we slept in til 9 and had Dad, Austin and Brian’s Dad over to work in the garage. I did some things in the house, went to the grocery, washed the dishes, prepared lunch for four hungry, hard-working men and suddenly it was time to get ready for a Christmas party! So I showered, dressed up in the cutest maternity top ever that Melissa bought for me for my birthday and we hopped into the car to make the drive to Oregon City.

The Christmas party was great… we saw so many dear friends and people could tell I was pregnant! hehe That was fun. I was actually kind of nervous when I walked in because I was so self-conscious of my tummy! Luckily, that faded and I had lots of wonderful conversations and enjoyed the chocolate fondu… mmmmm!

Sunday came and we went to the early service in hopes of lengthening the day. I’m not sure if it worked! We went for a drive after church because it was so beautiful out and I drove Brian up Bald Peak Road and showed him the view on the way to Hollie’s house. It was beautiful! The sky was so clear that we could see Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helens. Mt. Ranier, a tip of a mountain north of Mt. Ranier, a mountain faraway just north of Mt. Hood and the tip of a mountain that Brian thought was Jefferson or something. Amazing!

We had Jacob (friend from church) and his Kenyan friend over for lunch… who is leaving back for Kenya tomorrow! That was really nice – it is nice to have company, to talk about churches and mission-work (they are both going to be involved in starting a pastor’s college in Tanzania). Ben was kinda quiet (man from Tanzania) but maybe that’s because we didn’t let him talk much.

They left to do whatever and Brian worked in the garage while I … what DID I do? Ah well. I am tired. Tonight I baked a Chicken Pot Pie that I thawed out a couple days ago (prepared it last month) and sat down with Brian to start a list of subjects and skills to teach Anna and our future kids in homeschool. I am very motivated to work hard at this homeschooling business… but I was pretty intimidated too, when I realized how much I DON’T know, despite my bachelor’s degree and to realize how I have very little teaching experience! But between Brian and my mom, I have calmed down and will take things in bite-size chunks and not try to plan 12 years of schooling in one night. I am excited about it, though and expect this to be a project that’s around for… well, for some time!

God bless you all and good night… this pregnant woman is gonna crash right her if she doesn’t get to bed first………..ajfd;ljalkjzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
