It’s good to have goals, they say. As Rachel and I mark two years of fantastic marriage and prepare for the next big life change, named Anna, I have been thinking of some of my goals for life. And here, without any guarantee of completeness or correct spelling, and in no particular order, are some of mine:
- Marry a wildly beautiful woman and fall passionately in love with her every day (730 days down, more to go)
- Raise the children the Lord blesses me with to be everything God made them to be
- Climb Mt Hood
- Die having never understood high finance or the tax code
- Live in Africa for at least a year
- Pilot a sea plane solo
- Learn to speak another language
- Learn to play the guitar
- Own multiple acres of land
- Make wine from my own grapes
- Learn to ride a horse
- To never stop learning
- To never say: I’m too old for…
- Start a business
- Pay off my house
- Preach the gospel
- Be truly honest with myself and everyone else
- Be selfless
- Write a song
- Write a book
- Write a computer game 🙂
- At least try down-hill skiing
- Raise Angora rabbits
- Surf
- Build a house
- Forgive those who hurt me, love those that hate me, and to see Jesus seated at the right hand of God and coming in the clouds of heaven
ooh!!! I can’t wait! Anna ought to like Angora rabbits. Can I come with you, dear?
Raise Angora Rabbits? That one made me laugh…I love it!
What ARE Angora rabbits, would they like living in Molalla? And does the smiley face have special meaning??!!
