Anna!!!

A friend gave us an adorable pair of shoes…. she is so cute in them!

Meanwhile, I made my first totally successful loaf of challah bread!

Yes, I’m having too much fun with the clip movies. (The one screen is where she grabbed the camera strap and pulled it towards her mouth…)

And now I just realized that i haven’t really WRITTEN much for quite awhile. Anna’s pictures are what you really want to see, I’m sure, but that’s not the point. 🙂

Anna is sleeping peacefully in her crib right now – there really isn’t much in the world as heartwarming and peace-inducing as seeing a baby peacefully asleep. You know, her skin even pales a bit to a soft cream color as everything relaxes. I am loving the experience of being a mother. For some reason, as realistic a person I am and as familiar I was with kids, I didn’t really know what I was getting into! I can’t even describe what the difference is really – just that being a mom is way MORE than thinking about it or preparing for it. It’s harder, easier, sweeter and more real than anything.

Actually, I’m too interested in DOING different things to write much now. I’m off to move the sprinkler, start a load of laundry, avoid my deskwork and take a shower! Hopefully Anna won’t wake up just yet. 🙂

And now… to help Anna sleep other places, she is practicing by taking a nap on our bed this afternoon. Sooo cute!
