I always seem to have some song stuck in my head. Most of the time it’s Christmas songs. What can I say? They’re catchy! This morning it was part of that one song people often use for a wedding march… you know, “da, da, da-da-da-da-da, daaaa, da-de-daaa, da-de-daaaa” Wow, a little bit surprising, even for me.
Since our last post, we have been enjoying a WARM house! We love our little woodstove! What’s more, Great-grandma Chapman came to visit Anna and was adorable the whole time! She really was a cutie. Anna got her 6 month shots and they didn’t even phase her. Lucky me!!!! She has been getting up 2-3 times at night these days, but I think that’s because we’re at the beginning of a growth spurt… once the milk production catches up, I fully expect her to wake up just once or not at all at night again.
Last night, Brian and I went out on a fancy date! It was WONDERFUL. Thanks you Davis Grandparents for watching Anna for us! We went to a fancy restaurant in Portland called Fratelli’s. It was tasty! We dressed up and drove down in the pickup (with a bench seat – very important for romance) and had a great time talking about adoption. We keep talking about adoption – our hopes are to get into adoption as soon as we move.
You didn’t know we were moving? Well, we really love our home. We really love the area. But here is what we can’t do in this house or area:
1. Adopt – the house is too small
2. Buy a bigger house – they are too expensive unless you get out of town
3. Have land – we like our back yard, but even it is big for the city… and we’d like more space for the kids.
4. Burn big stuff – weenie roast!
We aren’t sure where we’re moving to. That’s right folks, we know we are moving sometime next year, but we don’t know where to. Most of the options will not delight the people who love us and like to see us lots. We know that. We don’t like that the options are far away either. But we like the options nonetheless. One is central Oregon somewhere – say Prinevilleish. The other is Washington – Grand Coulee area (west of Spokane).
Ok, without further shock or ado, here are some great pictures and videos of Anna.
Here’s Anna “eating” mashed potatoes. They were mostly fun to just watch her play in and drop all over her lap. hehe
Here are some pictures from Great-Grandma Chapman’s visit. Here is Anna opening a present from her!
Mom took this picture for us:
I like this one… Anna is the STAR!
Awww…. Anna knows how to snuggle now! It is wonderful!
Sorry this picture is so dark – but here is Anna reaching down and pulling Grandpa Davis’ hair. They were so cute!
Here is Anna this morning, playing on the couch!

those videos are quite cute. and… the pictures too! wherever you end up moving, we will come visit (and we will hope that you will come visit us, wherever we are!)
lots of love to you three!
Coulee Dam obviously. We so found you a house today. It’s lovely. PLUS I was thinking if you lived here we could go ride like…everyday! Yay! hee hee… Anna is getting so big. I cannot wait to see her again! Great pictures and video.
you could live in the pole barn in our back yard. It will be big and have a big back yard. And built in big brothers and sisters. Think about it. I do believe it is the PERFECT move for me, I mean you.
No! Rachel don’t move! Not Missy AND my horsie AND you guys!!!!!
you are right, I don’t like this moving idea. remember, there is more to life than “getting ahead”.
mmm, these mashed potatoes taste strangely like thumb. new recipe mom?
soooo cute! her ‘star’ picture is awesome too. and her pulling your nose? priceless. so anyways, she’s great!
guy won’t stay asleep. g2g.
e
oh! and AWESOME about the date.
Hopefully ours works out just as well (jake is jealous about the bench seat. that’s one thing ours doesn’t have and he REALLY wanted it to) maybe when we’re rich we can replace our buckets with a bench…or why not just have a custom made truck. there ya go!
