Here’s Brian reading a book with Anna… “Where’s the Doggie?” “What’s the doggie say?”
On Thanksgiving day we were at home… me canning one of those turkeys. The house smelled like Thanksgiving! I cut the raw turkey into chunks that will be easy to throw into casseroles and soups and canned it that way. Isn’t pretty like peaches, but it’ll do I think.
On Friday we had a good Thanksgiving meal and visit with Grandma and Grandpa D. who have been renamed by Anna into “Grammy” and “Pappy.” Here’s a picture of the tasty spread! Anna was mostly interested in the fruit salad although she ate some turkey too.
Great Grandma H. made Anna a beautiful sweater earlier this year and a couple weeks ago an adorable matching hat came in the mail! It fits her perfectly and is very stylish looking. Anna likes it because she can put it on and off herself. She was insisting she wear it one day… pretty cute! Here are some pictures of her looking adorable – she wasn’t interested in posing but preferred the more candid shots.
Here we are all tuckered out and watching “Mork and Mindy.” Nanu Nanu!
On Saturday, we spent the day at Grandma and Grandpa C’s house. I didn’t take a picture of the ENORMOUS Thanksgiving spread, but even with nineteen people, we hardly made a dent in it! Anna loves to go out to the barn with Grandpa and feed the cats and be a farm girl…
What they think of the paparazzi:
On Sunday we got a surprise visit from Great-Grandpa D.! It was quite the treat! We had lunch and dinner together and lots of good talking and Anna loving. Brian had just put the Christmas tree in the stand (cut down from G&G C’s the day before) so Grandpa and Anna helped decorate the tree. The little ornament Anna’s holding here is a little ceramic bootie… which she tried to put onto Papa’s toe… and then her own! Someday perhaps, she’ll understand why she makes us laugh so much.
Here is Great-Grandpa getting in some snuggle time (Anna played shy for quite awhile beforehand):
Here we are playing that it’s bedtime… I asked Anna for a pillow, so she brought me two! She has been so fun and smart lately! 😀 Sorry for the showing tummy… Anna had been graciously pointing out my belly-button a moment before.
Nice post! Your Thanksgiving was more like a festival, or something! It lasted for ever. Lucky bum.
Cute picture of Anna and the sweater not liking to pose.
It’s so funny the things they understand…like getting you a pillow. Funny.
Oh heaven forbid we should see your tummy! lol. You’re kinda silly sometimes.
Your thanksgiving lasted for like ever. That’s not really fair. I oh so looked forward to thanksgiving and all I got was one day. I am definitely trying three thanksgivings next year!
The pictures are adorable. I love the sweater and hat. So cute!
Well I’m off to go feed some starving horses!
Cute pictures! Thanks for the update. 🙂 Anna is getting so big, and I think I spy even more hair on her head than the last time I saw her!
P.S. I’ve posted a blog on my myspace and posted new pictures on our picasa album if you are interested. I’ll probably post another blog tomorrow after my non-stress test.
ok so I bought the fabric and THEN looked for a free pattern. I must go get MORE fabric…for the lining and filling or what have you. GA! So MAYYYYBE we’ll have stockings this year.
