This weekend I had an ultrasound on Saturday morning, helped run a baby shower for my best friend that afternoon, visited my sister and new baby that evening, and had dinner and stayed overnight at my parents! The next morning I visited with my cousin Lysa and her husband Jeff (and their adorable cooing baby), went to church with family, went to Brian’s folks house and then out to lunch with Grandma and Grandpa Hooge. We stayed and visited the afternoon away and then got home in time for Anna’s bedtime… she actually slept most of the way home too. Brian and I had a little time and energy left to clean up and be just us for a bit before the week began this morning. Yay weekends!
Pictures!
There were lots of pictures from the shower, but I just selfishly picked a couple of my diaper cakes and a few of my other favorites:
Great-Grandma Hooge made Anna some ADORABLE dresses! She also made us a gorgeous quilt! I don’t have a picture of the quilt, but Anna modeled her dresses for us! I can’t wait for summer!
Anna in dress #2 taking care of her baby:
This is her nurturing face she makes when she’s caring for her dollies:
Jennifer tried to get some homework done, but Anna walked down to her room, opened her door and made Jennifer come “sit here.” (she told us she was “Going talk Jennifer”)
Anna warmed up to Great-Grandma well:

Nice posture, Rachel! (in the moms to be lineup) Bet you never thought you’d be the best at that 😛 And I loved the “going talk Jennifer” so cute! Those are adorable dresses too. Little miss Anna is getting so grown up!
Doesn’t Rachel make incredible cakes? Is there a way to post my favorite picture from the shower? Maybe I can send it to you and you can add it to the blog.
nice dance moves! And anna is getting so grown up.
Where’s this amazing quilt you spoke of?
And you did make some awesome cakes!
I like the mom lineup too. funny.
