I wrote the other day that Jordan is experiencing neglect… you might wonder what i meant by that. Obviously, he is not seriously malnourished or untended. It is painful to think of him crying and nobody coming to him! But! His orphanage is a very good one. He is only neglected compared to the level of care and attention he will receive at home (his sisters cannot WAIT to teach him everything!). I am excited to watch him blossom! Since I wrote the blog post the other day… when I was feeling discouraged… the Lord has encouraged me.
He has reminded me of His promises:
For God so loved the world [and Jordan] that he gave his only begotten son… John 3:16
He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? Romans 8:32
It is the LORD who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.†Deuteronomy 31:8
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9
Just a few things to be thankful for:
God loves Jordan more than me
The staff at the orphanage are kind and loving
Jordan needs a family, yes, but he is doing very well for a child in an orphanage
I’m having precious time with my girls
I have successfully been exercising for three weeks
I haven’t gotten sick
Brian had Monday off work
Physical therapy, although painful, has made a big difference in my jaw again (yay!)
Christmas is coming!
Jordan WILL come home. In God’s GOOD time.
And now, to remember a few laughs:
