The day has come! Jordan is chewing something! He hasn’t got it perfected or anything, but this is huge news, people! We try not to get too excited and freak him out, but I am going to have to go buy stock in those Gerber Puffs now. 🙂

Awesome!!!!!!!! That is very impressive, Jordan!!! (and the great thing about typed comments is that I don’t have to worry about frightening you with my enthusiasm) I love the fine motor skills you are developing picking up those tiny puffs and the amazing ability you have to move those things to the side of your mouth to CHEW! You are a super star.
Oh, I understand your excitement so well. I remember the first “solid” bite Emilia took after about six months home: it was a little bit of donut. It’s such a milestone and a big accomplishment for our little ones with tough feeding backgrounds and their patient parents. Chew away, Jordan!
By the way, I think for a long time after starting to accept solids, Emilia just kind of mashed them, but in the last month or so I think she might actually be chewing a little bit for real.
<3 Yay! How fun to watch him grow and learn and hear the excitement his family has to share with him!! Thanks for sharing with us!
Yay, Jordan!!
That’s great!
