And then I remember my favorite things……..
1. Waking up with Brian
2. Singing
3. Dreams of riding horses
4. Finishing something (and liking looking at the finished product)
5. Handwritten letters
6. Writing letters
7. Watching the wind blow through leaves
8. A good book while wrapped in blankets on a chilly day
9. Days off work
10. Finishing cooking… and the food is really good!
And then I don’t feel sooooooo baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad!!! (I’m probably waking the neighbors with my singing.)
Reading Emily’s blog (and those connected to her) inspired me to write down some of my favorite things. It really is good to just think of them sometimes. Somewhat related is the verse that says to think on those things that are pure and good and wholesome… that and the verse that says “love never fails” really make up the base of my peace and strength. When I am down, I need to dwell on hope, not on despair. Thank you Jake for your post the other day… part of Romans 12 in the Message translation. That was perfect timing. Sorry if I’m a little random today – I’m just tired and clinging to God.
God bless. Smile. Watch the wind in the trees. Love!
