Mama and Anna have some sweet snuggling time:
Anna’s been especially snuggly lately:
Mommy enjoys it too:
Today we went to the Hillsboro Air Show! We’ve lived here for four summers (wow!) but haven’t made it to the show yet. We can see quite a bit from home… when the jets fly over our house at naptime it’s really…… … … … loud.
We decided to bring Anna with us, so it was both her and Maggie’s first air show! Anna was a bit overwhelmed by the whole thing and stayed glued to mommy almost the entire time. She let Papa hold her a bit, but wasn’t at all interested in talking with Jennifer or Poppy who sat next to us. It was pretty adorable really; she hid her face or one ear against my chest the whole time and didn’t say a word.
Here she is snuggling with Papa with the ever-present anxious look on her face.
She spilled water all over… but we didn’t mind – the sun came out and it was warm! See the ear plugs hanging out of her ears? They didn’t last long:
Once the air show was over and most of the crowd raced to get to their car first, we had some fun running up and down the runway with jets and planes and stuff on it to look at:
Oh, but I totally forgot! When Anna and I were gone (for naptime), Brian snapped some great shots of robosaurus and took a video too! No, he’s not an airplane. He can’t fly upside down. He doesn’t look like he’s about to crash. He doesn’t break sound barriers or make you cringe at near high-speed collisions. He doesn’t make you wonder about people’s sanity.
Well, maybe he does that.
Looks like you all had fun! More fun than me in a tow truck again!
What fun! Wow, that picture of Anna with her ear pressed up against Brian REALLY reminds me of the twins on “Parent Trap” (older version.) Something about her face, hair, and expression… golly gee! 🙂
P.S. Getting big, Rachel! (Or should I say, Maggie!) Hooray!
You’re right Melissa, it does look like her! Funny. I wonder if it’s the curl on her forehead, the expression or what…. hmm!
