Maggie – 5 months

It seems like Maggie has hit a whole slew of milestones this last week or so. So many new expressions and firsts!

She started sucking hard on her lower lip, which is really cute, especially when she tries to talk at the same time.
She has been preaching baby sermons, oh so cute.
When I hold her upright and carry her around, she has so much new control over her upper body and leans back to look at me, leans over to look at the floor or to just experiment.
When I lay her down somewhere… she is never there when I come back. With slight turns done by scooting and squirming and multiple rolls, she is all over the place.
When she sees a toy she wants, she works to get to it and often succeeds.
I bought some baby food and she is chowing down like there’s no tomorrow.
She learned how to pass toys back and forth between her hands.
She just found her feet last night!
She has been just staring at her own hands for a day or two.

Anna’s growing edge: learning to share without physical pain.
Another growing edge: learning to draw more than scribbles:

What beautiful girls!!! I love to see them grow! I can’t believe how fast Maggie’s growing up. It’s so fun to see her personality coming out little bit by little bit! Thanks for the update 🙂

Well I feel really dumb saying this but I was a bit shocked to realize that you weren’t lying when you wrote that M is 5!!! months. incredible!

I really like Anna’s drawing. Does she have to cause pain to the person she shares with? Guy is REALLY unsure that it is ok for Calvin to lay on one of the many blankets that he has grown up believing are his. So far he’s been able to take my word for it…
I think it’s so much fun having two littles.

Haha – five months is right! And she isn’t causing physical pain to others… she’s EXPERIENCING physical pain when she has to share one of her toys. Oh the tears and heartbreak!

It is fantastic having two littles. I can’t believe that Calvin is approaching a month old already! And we waited so long for him too! I had to look…….. I think the expiration is on a piece of junkmail that was laying around.
