Pita and other breads

I made pita bread.
We put yummy stuff inside.
I made bagels.
They look nice but need more salt. Good with cream cheese.
I made rice and lentils – majedra or something. Can’t remember what it’s called.
I read Emily’s blogs to see if there was anything new. Hope she’s making it through these first weeks ok (first week).
Went to mom and dad’s last night to see Neal and Hollye off to their new home. Glad we don’t have to actually help load the truck. 🙂 They leave for CA on Wednesday but are in Cottage Grove now packing up. We had Chicken Javanese. Yummy! Stayed up late and played Chapman Shanghai. That means we had to make up a few rules we couldn’t remember. Stayed up very late.
Anna cried at least 30 minutes straight. Hard. Very unhappy. Very, very unhappy. Hasn’t cried like that since her first month… sorry Emily. But yes, it gets better! Finally fell asleep and slept all night. Yay!
THEN
Roy came over and helped Brian in the garage. You guys rock!!!!! THANK YOU ROY!
I played with the kiddos. They were great. Nothing destroyed and I haven’t even crashed yet. Anna’s to bed soon so Brian and I can finally rest.

I am still so impressed with all they got done in the garage. View the pictures and enjoy!

Roll it thin.

Hollye is a super aunt.
She can hold Anna with one arm.
Anna likes Hollye.
Hollye’s middle name is Anna.
Hollye is going to get a cute puggle (or some such cute pug cross)
Go Hollye!

Roy is our resident red-haired lumberjack handyman.
He has kids who like me.
They like Anna too.
They don’t like lentils much.
They did a LOT of sheetrock.
They did the whole loft ceiling and the beam bit that isn’t done yet in this picture.
LOTS done.
Sore backs.
Long showers needed.
Go Brian and Roy!

We played outside a lot.
We picked sunflower seeds out of dead sunflowers.
Fun!

My mom came and saved my bacon.
She was an extra adult with the kids in a new place.
She did my dishes.
She played with Anna.
She played with Steven.
She talked with Ruthie.
She was a nice “grandma” to them all.
My hero!

MaryAnne and Ruthie played fire.
They roasted hot dogs.
They built the fire themselves.
They didn’t even get burnt!
Smart kiddos. 🙂

Random not so exciting videos of Anna… one eating a butterfly (plastic) and one showing you what she looks like when she’s tired (she had been smiling just before) and anna talking… 🙂
