So Maggie is a little bigger – definitely heavier. But which is cuter. That is hard to say!
Looking good. Has eczema like her big sister. Smiled and talked for the Dr. Sore legs and running a low fever now after her shots. Mommy is tired because she was up with a stuffy nose last night.
zzzzzzzzzzzz
Got to visit Melissa and Jackson today. Jackson is getting so big! Enjoyed hanging out and getting to be around my sis. Walked to the book store and spent a few dollars. Home now.
When do you decide to have more kids? Probably, you should feel up to an additional challenge (not be exhausted BEFORE you add a kid), it shouldn’t interfere negatively with the kids you have already, you should be able to afford it, and probably the only one that is an ABSOLUTE must is that you should agree upon it as a couple. Many, many, many decisions made between Brian and I have been infinitely better because we both put in input. Brian is not ready to jump into an adoption this week like I am. Brian is better at thinking things through than I am. I am so blessed to be so well matched. So let’s throw that into the prayer about me personally being ready and capable of handling more kids. I will also be praying that God will move both Brian and I at the same time for adoption.

First bath together – certainly not the last:
After one of those nights when you can’t get dinner together and the baby refuses to fall asleep until after 45 minutes of trying (right when dinner is finally done) and you don’t get to eat until after both kids are asleep because things took too long…. well, that was our Valentine dinner. Here we are – finally peaceful, quiet, and reheated:
Can you say, “Oh my goodness gracious!!!” Yes, this is the stead from Pioneer Woman Cooks. It was REALLY GOOD.
My little Valentine. Dad, notice the necklace? It’s the necklace that you gave me when I was a girl (I was maybe a teen).
She’s a little bigger than she used to be:
Hey Maggie!
Watching Anna be a big sister just melts her mama’s heart:
Can you see that her right front tooth is turning gray? (on the left side of the picture)
“I’m going to help Papa fix the lawn mower!”
“I just need my glasses”
We went to the zoo today (Saturday) and enjoyed the beautiful sunshine! And neither kid cried! Not once! Amazing. Thank you Kelly for the stroller – it is GREAT to have.
I often get the feeling that I want to be a mother to many. I don’t really know what it means, but when I see people sharing on their blogs about their adoptive journeys, I hunger, really hunger, to bring children home through adoption. I see other families pretty regularly on these blogs that have many children, children close together in age…. and they are thriving. I don’t think that I am strong enough to parent many children. In fact, I have not “met my stride” with these two beautiful children that I have. I get cabin fever and I get tired. I get to the point where I need help and can’t formulate any original thought or make any more attempts and things at home come to a grinding halt. I shouldn’t bring more children home before I can take care of them. So I feel like I am praying one of the most important and biggest prayers that I’ve ever had. I am praying that God will give me the energy, the strength and the skills to be able to mother many. It will be easy to see when this prayer is answered. I will, most of the time, be able to keep up with basic housework, keep my momentum/sanity most of the time and I will feel like I have energy left over. I suspect that AFTER children are added to the family, I will need to start praying it all over again. But for now, I wait expectantly for His answer and I keep pursuing a successful day. Day by day.

Today, Maggie rolled over from her back to her tummy TWO TIMES! This is a first! She has rolled from her tummy to back once, but I may have set her down with one arm under her. Yay for babies growing up and making their parents get all silly and video tape them NOT rolling over for ridiculous amounts of time.
