A list for myself of things to watch out for on craigslist (mostly for Anna). I keep losing my normal lists, but I figure I can’t lose my blog……..
Toy tools (so she doesn’t keep scratching furniture with Papa’s)
Toy doctor kit (I bet this’ll be interesting after Maggie’s born and we go to the doc every couple months)
Kid’s CD’s (She thinks Mommy’s cds are boring but loves her kid cds)
Kid’s DVD’s (Elmo, Kipper, Bob the Builder, etc.)
Kazoo and other noisemakers (probably a mistake)
Dress-up clothes
2T/3T Pants with drawstrings (for my small-bottomed child hehe)
3-9 mo “Snowsuit” or other warm coverall thing for winter walks (for Maggie!)
Rubber boots/galoshes for Anna size 6? or 7?
Christmas stockings for both girls
Clothes hooks for Anna’s bedroom
Big butter dish
Mommy was taking a nap on the couch…. so Anna laid down on the chair. It was getting close to naptime anyway!
Brian’s flannel shirts are the BEST when you’re big and pregnant. Just ask me.
My stove gets a little full when I’m canning pears… or peaches. Or cherries. Or anything really:
This is my favorite dress that Great-Grandma Hooge made Anna. I wish I didn’t have to put the sweater over it, because the bow in the back is super adorable. But it was chilly that morning and besides, Anna was rather insistent.
More of my adorable girl… and her little ponytails!
She has hair! Yay!
Anna was riding her bike so she asked me to “take picture of Anna on bike Mommy?” So I did. You can see the pictures hung on the wall that took WAY too much time and energy to hang. They are family pictures. Grandparents on left, parents in the middle, siblings on the right. Which reminds me… I should change A&M’s pic to include one with Jackson! Can you send me your latest family pic Melissa?
Here is Anna playing with homemade playdough! How do you store it mom? How long will it last? She likes it, but only for a little while before I put it back in the bowl (covered with a lid). And I had no idea what Alum was. Interesting stuff.
Here’s Anna and Papa from tonight…. I love her giggles!!!
I got to go visit my friend Hollie today. She fed me well and it was so good to just hang out with a friend!
36 weeks with Anna – up 24 pounds (up only 16 lbs. if you take into account what I lost to morning sickness)
36 weeks with Maggie – up 31 pounds (maybe I should have let myself lose weight in the first trimester instead of maintaining) 🙂
I’ve been craving sugar lately. And I have been a good girl and haven’t bought sugary stuff for awhile. So sometimes I get desperate, digging through the cupboards. “There has GOT to be something in here!!!!”
I found some marshmallows. Now, I’m pretty sure it is a sin, and a pretty sad one too, to eat marshmallows. You know… whole. Straight out of the bag. Just snitching them. I had to do something to protect myself.
So I made Chocolate Peanut Butter Taffy. It’s like stretchy fudge. I found the recipe in my recipe box. It says that Elisa S. gave the recipe to me. Now I don’t know if you’ve met Elisa, but she doesn’t appear to be a terrible sinner. She seems sweet and kind and generous. So I decided if I made these evil marshmallows into this taffy, then I could get my sugar fix and not sin.
