Can you read this? It says, “Dear tooth fary (Mom) I have lost my tooth. I am sorry but I took it in the kichin and now I don’t know whare it is! My tooth is lost but plese give me a 50 cent pese still. Anna wrote this but is from maggie.”

We have a large male muscovy duck that needs to go. Maybe we will eat him. See how huge he is!? We have two males and this is the one we’re not keeping.

So that’s it! We are enjoying being farmers. Fencing and hay are costing more than I expected, but if I put in terms of cost for an education, we’re still getting a good deal. I’m really loving having this special thing to do with Anna too. She is almost nine years old!

There was a week in February when all Jordan’s teachers were sick… but we were not. I took advantage of that and used all my pent up cabin fever energy on several fun field trips with all the kids.
First up – The Portland Art Museum
Meet three young guinea pigs – Panda, Snowflake and Blackie.
Here we are eating lunch at the Portland Art Museum!
This room had streamers hanging from the ceiling and blowing around. With the music, it was a big hit for Jordan.
Honestly, it was a hit for all the children. Mostly… I just wanted to clean it up.
On of the more interesting pieces we saw. I could puzzle over this one for awhile. There were plenty of art pieces that just made me… puzzled.

So glad I got to go with a friend.
Next, we went to a playground (not the same day):

Now… being this close to a bunch of sleeping LIONS was scary to me!
The poor cheetahs did not seem as well adapted to zoo life as the lions. They were alert and on guard towards us at the window.

Another place we visited was a large indoor playground while waiting for the girls’ swimming lessons:
I love this series of photos of Jordan in the balls/vacuum room – it shows so many of his unique expressions and postures.
All the girls were with me too of course – just got a little carried away enjoying Jordan for once.

Brownie, our brown ewe had 3 lambs last night. Let’s see if this will get you to some pictures of the three lambs.

We didn’t mean to name any lambs, because they are planned for meat production. But the first lamb is a ewe and we had talked about keeping one more. She’s a singlet and oh so sweet. Not sure if we’ll keep her or not but OUR EWE HAD HER FIRST BABY!
Our sheep are Katahdin sheep, which are hair sheep, raised for meat.
