February 2016

Here we are – February. School is going along, sickness keeps coming in waves, and the weather is warming early. Frogs are noisy every night, garden chores are begun, sheep are now wide loads (wonder when they’ll deliver?), and taxes are done. I have a few blog posts that I’d like to write to you sometime. Here’s a list of subjects I’m considering:

– Jordan development update at 6 1/2 years old (4 years home)
– My personal Christian testimony
– Jordan’s soup recipes
– Umm…….. I don’t know!

Henna

Brian bought me a package of henna for Christmas. It’s like a mud that you squeeze out in pretty designs on your skin. Let it dry… and it leaves an orange stain. After a couple days, it’s a dark brown/orange stain that slowly fades. I have really enjoyed it. If you come over, maybe I can practice henna on you?

January 2016

January was a month of extended Christmas, since we were sick over Christmas and didn’t want to share it. I don’t have pictures from all the gatherings, but here is what I have.

Trying to get the vaseline out with corn starch. Ugh - what a waste of time and supplies. But the cradle cap is better!

Lack of Updates

Sometimes all the everyday stuff that goes on in my heart and mind can’t be put into little facebook updates or even coherently blogged about. But we are doing well and life is full. More details than that haven’t coalesced into something I could share for several months. I miss blogging, but can’t seem to figure out how to start. Being able to write clearly requires being able to think clearly. And feel clearly. Maybe the trouble lies in there somewhere. I am growing. And that’s my update.
