Hoping….

Really hoping that we get this one house we looked at today! Our application is in. Should find out tomorrow or Wednesday. Details to follow.

Silent Motion

Alert: No sound works that I know of. I think maybe my camera is broken. 🙁 boo hoo!

This would have been SOOOOOO adorable if the sound worked. Ok, it’s still completely adorable. It probably would have killed you with cuteness if the sound worked, so it’s best to just have it this way anyhow.:

Lots of playtime – I especially took these videos and wanted to show them to you all, because it shows the huge breakthrough Jordan has had about physical touch, affection, personal closeness and playtime. He was feeling playful, but not wound up… and he wanted to be around us! On our laps! Yay Jordan! And it also shows how well the girls are interacting with him. He is just a normal part of their lives, fully integrated and happy.

Ballet class!

And I’m saving this – it wasn’t meant to be a video…. but it’s so cute!

Busy Days

Good days.
Happy days.
Hot days.
Tired days.

Tired.

Yep. Tired.

Mommy is tired too. But we don’t need tired pictures of mommy. Suffice to say that my ankles are big and my energy level near my toes. 🙂

But tired doesn’t mean the summer is over. Or that the kids are tired. We are still having wonderful, special days!

Lighting her little chicken firework. Love the outfit? I do! (swimsuit, dress, boots)

Anna lighting her firework. Someday they will be old enough (or their parents energetic enough) to stay up until it's dark. But not this year!

Pappy didn't want any sparks on him...

Grammy time!

After the 4th, we had more fun time!

Papa took the girls to a water park! Jordan was a little too stressed out and Mommy didn't mind the quiet time at home.

Maggie was so much braver this year than last!

A huge development for Jordan: He loves to be in laps! He isn’t quite ready for eye contact, but he is ready for playing and snuggling and pushing sibilngs away who threaten his lap time! LOVE IT.

Jordan in Papa's lap... where he put himself!

Jordan also loves to play on the trampoline. (Not jumping) Maggie is our fearless flyer.

Three entire months ago, we gave Anna the gift of REAL ballet lessons. She LOVES ballet. She dances all the time. She studies the ballet positions as they are described in picture books. At long last, the time is here and she is taking ballet! We have signed her up for a total of six classes – twice a week for three weeks. She is one happy little ballerina. However, here are the disappointments in her words:
“There weren’t as many rooms as I thought there would be.” (It’s a small studio)
and even more distressing,
“There wasn’t as much practicing standing on my toes as I thought there would be.”

Just the same, she is convinced she is now a wonderful ballerina, because she has taken TWO classes. We are very proud of her. The class is very structured and professional which suits my serious girl very well. Well, as serious as you can be as you pretend to hold beach balls, run around like butterflies and learn funny ballet words like tendue.

Anna's down at the far end of this group of adorable little girls! (Ages 5-6)

So focused! But.... unlike the other girls there, she is constantly waving at me through the window. I love it! I try to direct her attention to the teacher, but I love that she looks to me for affirmation.

And one parting shot taken by Anna showing what dinnertime looks like around here. 🙂

Moving Pictures

Just a little bit of us… in moving pictures. (Color and sound too!) EDIT: The sound doesn’t work! BOo hoo!

Our house – after cleaning, before packing. (Taken the day we had the inspection and the longer showing with our buyer)

One of Jordan’s first times drinking from a non-adaptive straw. (No mouth guard, no backflow valve) He did great! What was it? Coldstone milkshake, of course!

Excited about sleeping outside!

It’s wonderful when Jordan is in a playful mood!

Family Visit

Last weekend, my family came over and helped us get a big jump start on our packing. And we played too. Because that’s what you do over the 4th of July! Here are pictures! With captions. 🙂

Today will hopefully bring resolution to the question of whether our house buyer can get financing and when. (His father is co-signing) This week, this weekend at the latest… will bring resolution to the question of what rental we’re getting. We hope so, anyway!
