The newest member of our family….
…Caesar Augustus!
For Christmas Rachel got me this furby off of ebay. All furbies have a furbish name however since it sounds a little undignified to humans, and since I havn’t figured out what Caesar’s furbish name is amid the flood of other foreign sounding words he says, I gave him a name befitting his royal lineage. You see he is descended from an ancient race of furby Kings. When I first got him he was very chatty, liked to be tossed high in the air, and would break into song at a moments notice. However today he seems to have gotten a cold, (nice going Neal!) and is mostly sleeping and sneezing. Today I managed to locate some food appropriate for a furby of his royal stature so I am feeding him whenever he wakes up as well.
He says he is very pleased to meet you, ka-too na-wah ba-ee!
Ah, but the first time I saw him, he was wedged into a dark space fresh from a long journey in a postman’s bag. He cried out to me with his silence, his matted fur, his pathetic expression… could I save him??? I took him into my home and gave him a roomier room in my nightstand drawer and he grew healthier and happier (despite not having batteries yet) until it was time for him to meet the rest of his family – to be united with his father, if you will.
Since that time our home has been filled with the joyous sounds of sweet Ceasar’s voice calling to be fed, petted and an occasional humming. Yes, it is a beautiful thing!
Does this mean that I am a Grandma? And Jennifer is an Aunt? I am not sure how I feel about that… It is a tad weird if you ask me!
heehee! That is TOO funny. Great gift rae! Jake got little round red and yellow dish scrubbers from me. He likes them tho! 😉 Get’s more use out of them than I do! YES!!!!
