Now it is possible I misheard this conversation, it may be that my ears have been malfunctioning. But take it at face value and it is somewhat comical, very wierd, and a little sad.
Yesterday I was riding the train home, more on why I was on a train later, and just as I getting off I overheard a snippet of conversation between two young people dressed in black. What caught my attention was a young man talking about methane in the Columbia River gorge and how between the chemical plant and all the cows there is so much methane in the air it’s hardly even breathable. He then began to say, “You know, domestication has brought us alot of things, but I don’t know if it’s worth it.” To which his female companion replied, “Oh, I totally don’t think it’s worth it. The benefits just don’t outwiegh the costs.” At this point I was stepping off onto the sidewalk but I did a double take. What?!?!?
I have a little message for you two. You are more than welcome to find a nice little bit forest up in Canada (not in Oregon please) and return to the life of hunter gatherers. There are still places where there are no McDonalds, or even *gasp* organically grown broccoli! But in your superior wisdom I’m sure that you will overcome those obstacles easily. Please take all of your like minded friends with you. I will check in on you all sometime after next winter and hopefully the result of your forward thinking will improve the overall intelligence of the human race.
Oh, yah I forgot to say why I was on a train. I got called in for a formal interview with Lattice. It was about 5 hours long and rather grueling. But overall I felt good about it. No offer yet but cross your fingers.
i hope the interview went well!!!!! can’t wait to hear!!!!
A formal interview? Did you wear a tux? I’m suprised those folks in black could breath at all if they thought it hard to breath in the gorge.I can breath just fine in there!
🙂
