That means nobody is holding her and she is still asleep. Yay! I have both hands and no carrier on… time to upload pictures and put them on the blog! I spend lots of time sitting on the couch snuggling with a sleeping newborn (how long can I call her a newborn?) and the rest of the time reading or sleeping.
Maggie’s first smiles… she may not be smiling ON PURPOSE, but she definitely was feeling good and happy at the time and experimented with great faces! Not many of you have seen her awake, so I’ll post all the pictures:
Papa and the girls all snuggled up looking cute (you’ve all seen these sweat pants a lot lately):
Great-Grandma Chapman came to visit!!! Maggie slept in her arms for over an hour (closer to two hours?) before I took the still-sleeping baby to feed her. Grandma said, “I’ve never heard of feeding a baby who wasn’t squalling before!” 🙂 We love our sleeping Maggie… if only she would sleep without being held. Oh well. 😀
Looking at pictures of baby Anna:
Saturday morning was a beautiful day for a trip to the pumpkin patch! I love how having kids has taught me to enjoy “childish” pleasures again, like going to the zoo, scuffing my feet in the fall leaves, and going to a pumpkin patch! If only Anna enjoyed carving pumpkins that much… nah, that would steal the fun from Brian.
We went to a great place that has boats and farm animals, face-painting, mazes, and trains! What a blast!
(How big she was in 2009)
Tami, I love your son… and he is goofy.
Cutie pies
Anna was so brave and let somebody paint a flower on her cheek!
15 acres of rotten pumpkins! 😀 (well, lots were rotten… suppose many of the good ones left already)
The pregnancy pose… post pregnancy. Maggie was GREAT. She slept the entire time without a peep or a stir and kept mommy warm!
Is this sweet or what? It should be an ad for the carrier.
Anna proudly holds her muddy pumpkin (that got everything dirty):
Starting to carve the pumpkins (they’re…. well, Brian is carving them right now so I don’t have pictures of the finished product yet):
Maggie sleeping right now in her bouncy chair:
Waving her arms around like a newborn…
And Hollye – you gave me the shirt so you probably realize… in the “carrier ad” picture, I put the shirt on backwards and didn’t realize until that night when I was changing for bed…. ahhhh, sleep-deprivation, you have not abandoned me!
I think I will get a poka-dot shirt to match my pajama pants.
Just a note – today I went on my first solo grocery trip. Went good! Even picked up some shirts to try on after getting home… I couldn’t try them on with Maggie in her carrier fast asleep. 🙂
L O L
I was totally thinking “Is Rachel’s shirt on backwards or does it just have random stitching on the front?” It’s on backwards! Silly goose.
Brian? If it was a solo trip how could Maggie be with you? Am I just reading this wrongly? And yes, polka-dots would be a great addition to those pants! 😀
Does Maggie look like Brian to you guys?
So that was me posting about the “solo” trip… I fixed it. 🙂 I think Maggie looks lots like Brian and Jennifer!
Sweet!
