Shoes

Brian thought it was worthwhile to take a picture of the shoes on the floor in the bedroom. Why? Because the ones on the floor are all mine. His are all on the shelf. Sigh.

Three frustrating things in my life right now:

1. I have a cold. I really hope Maggie doesn’t get it. It’s bad enough that Anna has it. It’s bad enough that I have it and am compromising my precious sleep.

2. Maggie has been crying in the evening for three days. She can go from 0 to 60 in the intensity of her crying in about two seconds. I don’t know why she does this. The only thing that helps is nursing. We keep trying different things. She normally eats about every three hours. Last night I fed her at 4, 6, 8, and 9. I think that’s right. She screamed a lot after about 7pm. Thankfully she slept until 12:30 and then til 5:30 after that.

3. Anna deliberately pees her undies to find out if she needs to go. She is dry one minute. I ask her if she needs to go. She pees. She says, “yes.” Will somebody else take over? She hasn’t had a dry day since summertime. And she was completely dry for months before that and stays dry at night, so I know she can do it. I’ve tried negative consequences and positive consequences. Hollie…. can I leave her with your mom while she’s visiting? She’s the potty training queen, right?

4. While I’m complaining…. I wish I had the next book in the series. However, the library system is down (online) so I can’t see if it’s at the library yet or still in transit.

Well, if I posted a picture of our room right now it would make you feel better. Here’s the deal. I fold the laundry in the office and pile all the clothes up for each person & place they need to go. Then, because I feel like I’ve done enough work, I only deliver Guy’s clothes to his room & put them away, then do the same for the bathroom, kitchen. I do not deliver Jake’s clothes, nor will I put them away, and I rarely deliver and put away my own clothes- I have no idea where the logic is there, I just end up dressing in the office. This results in an unusable couch in the office, then it results in Jake delivering his own clothes to the floor in our room and I continue to dress in the office until the next laundry cycle starts. I am a mess. If I had a laundry room and a maid things would be much better.

I am sorry to hear about your cold and almost more sorry to hear about Anna’s pee test. I have no advice. Maybe ask her while she’s on the toilet? Or never ask her then she’ll never have to go! 🙂 jk and not helpful.

I assume by saying ‘the series’ you mean twilight. Ug. I can’t say I understand but this is coming from me who for some reason chooses to watch Glee. I hate that show. So, enjoy Twilight, or whichever series is ‘the series’.

Oh, and I’m glad Brian puts his flowery purple flipflops on the shoe rack.

Well if it helps you feel any better I woke up at 12:30, 2:30, 5:30, 6:00, and 7:00 the other night, which was followed by waking up at 1:30, 2:30, 4:30, 5:30, and 7:00…. 🙂

    Yay for new teeth!!

Sorry about the colds. The other day I was feeling like, gee, NOW it feels like Christmastime… and I realized it was because I finally had a cold! hehe

best luck with potty training – you can pass on all your insight to me in a couple o’ years! 🙂

Well, if it helps – I have slept from around 11PM until 6 PM for the past few months with just a few trips to the door to see what the dogs are barking at, (NOTHING) ! I don’t rmember when my last cold was, and my wife does her peeing without me hardly even noticing. Life is so hard, I may have to get rid of my dogs!! (I didn’t even mention having to walk across a cold floor to turn on my electric blanket, but that wasn’t on the list). 🙂 🙂 🙂

You guys are hilarious! I’m sorry you’re up so much at night right now, Melissa! I hope it goes quickly. Which teeth? And Emily, it’s not the Twilight series. I devoured that ages ago. It was fantastic. 🙂 I just finished two much more wholesome books, “As Sure as the Dawn” and “Redeeming Love”. The series I’m reading isn’t wholesome. It’s just fun novel material. I’m waiting for book for of the Wheel of Time series, which is a fantasy series where every book is about 800 pages long or more. Reading has been so fun lately… but I am thinking I should try and teach Maggie to sleep on her own a bit.
