Grandpa with his newest granddaughter. Every one of these pictures of my dad with my children are so special to me.
Hey look - With two of his grandchildren!
Oh wait - is that three!??
All four of my children!!!
How I typed and posted the birth story..... day 1
Grammy holding her littlest grandchild. 🙂
Pappy meets Carolyn
Jordan finally gets some attention down on the banana chairs...
AWESOME - Grandpa took Anna and Maggie on their very first fishing trip! They both caught three fish at Rainbow Trout Farm out in Sandy, OR. It was a special treat that they are still talking about! Brings back special memories of me with my Grandpa C..
Now when I look at my lap.... well, it's not my big tummy I see!
Papa doing honors with first bath. (Sponge bath)
All clean!
And everybody says awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
Anna holds Carolyn for the first time!
So, so precious to a mommy's eyes. My Anna is such a gentle, helpful soul with a big heart. I love to see my oldest with my youngest!
Wrinkly feet!
What she thought of Papa taking a picture of her feet.
About once a day, she konks out COMPLETELY.
Jordan navigating the duplos in the morning.
We had three days in a row of hot breakfasts. YUM!
Jordan keeps climbing up on this ottoman! Smart boy!
The girls were given a whole bunch of doll clothes in honor of Carolyn being born. It would have been cute to dress Carolyn in one of the outfits and two dolls in outfits and then set them all out together. But she was peacefully asleep so I didn't.
One of those naps where she just sleeps and sleeps and sleeps.
Maggie got to go on a date with Papa! They went to the library, bought gummi bears at Winco and a sheet of plywood at Lowe's. A huge success!
This might show you why we don't really enjoy letting Jordan explore food on his own....
Last night - this picture helps me understand how small she really is.
Anna and Maggie eating fruit snacks after finishing their chores. Maggie is so big!
Carolyn's little bedroom in our bedroom. Why is she on our bed in this picture? I don't know. 🙂 But - we have our first baby who likes to be swaddled! I love it! It makes night-time sleep so much better!
I love our walk-in closet. First, a birthing suite - now a nursing nook.
The girls have been spending SO MUCH TIME playing with Papa's legos!
And that's right, folks.... Brian's building a chicken coop!
We’re just a typical, atypical family in the Pacific Northwest. We homeschool, love Jesus and are learning as we go.
We have three beautiful daughters, born in 2007, 2009 and 2012 and two handsome sons, born in 2009 and 2013. (My sons are Bulgarian – arriving home in 2011 and 2017. If you’re curious about Bulgarian adoptions, I blogged about our experience.).
After learning about the need for adoptive families of children with disabilities, (and here and here) we began the process to adopt our son Jordan (who has Down Syndrome). He arrived home on December 3rd, 2011!. We were in process for Daniel (who has arthrogryposis) January-October 2017. You can see photos from our trips to Bulgaria by looking at June and Nov/Dec 2011 archives and May and October 2017.
Congratulations! She’s beautiful!
You live a rich life, dear sister!!!
