We’re trying to have a baby! Do you know how many crazy websites there are devoted entirely to babies, pregnancy, trying to get pregnant… and stealing money from couples trying to get pregnant! I confess that I have been swindled and have spent money on several things like special vitamins and a basal thermometer… *shakes head at myself in disbelief*. I thought I was stronger than that, immune to the grasping hands of marketers! But alas!, they have pressured me where I was weakest… babies! I mean, who can resist that!?? Can you even say babies three times in a row without getting a silly smile on your face and your voice changing to a high sing-song? And doesn’t your wallet just spring from your pocket and enter numbers on different baby websites when you have the foolish nerve to think that you can open those web pages safely? I can’t possibly be alone in this! Does this not ring true to you?

About Us
We’re just a typical, atypical family in the Pacific Northwest. We homeschool, love Jesus and are learning as we go.
We have three beautiful daughters, born in 2007, 2009 and 2012 and two handsome sons, born in 2009 and 2013. (My sons are Bulgarian – arriving home in 2011 and 2017. If you’re curious about Bulgarian adoptions, I blogged about our experience.).
After learning about the need for adoptive families of children with disabilities, (and here and here) we began the process to adopt our son Jordan (who has Down Syndrome). He arrived home on December 3rd, 2011!. We were in process for Daniel (who has arthrogryposis) January-October 2017. hey, btw, my favorite baby things and baby info site is babycenter.com very neat place. I belong to a little message board group which is nice because those people are going through the same thing or have recently so you can ask questions and they understand. even if it’s an off the wall question (believe me I know, lol) so there is my two cents
