Tonight I read Anna a Dr Suess book called “Would you rather be a bullfrog?” It’s asks children many important questions such as: “Would you rather be a cat or a dog?” On several of these Anna was quite positive although most are going to require some more thought. Here were her choices:
1. She would rather be a dog than a cat.
2. She would rather be a hen than a rooster.
3. She would rather be a bat than a ball.
4. She would rather be a chair than a table.
I have no idea what that means but it seems profound.
This weekend Anna got some good education in caring for small engines. The neighbor, Mr Al, was working his lawnmower and Anna went over to help. When I looked up from my weeding she was copying him by taking a pair of pliers to the watering can. She is very mechanically inclined.
Today when I went outside to clean up a bit before our third house showing she saw Mr Al outside again. She looks up at me and asks, “Say hi Mr Al?” She asked permission to go say hi! What a big girl.
Tonight in the car on the way home Anna told me a story about how she fell off Ginger and went boom. I guess that she is referring to the Chapman’s dog, but what was she doing on Ginger I asked? To which she replied “Anna go boom!”
This week in church I was holding Anna while we sang and I said “Anna sing too?” Amazingly she started singing along! Now when I get in the car and turn on the radio she asks, “Papa sing too?”
Right now she is in bed going to sleep. So far I’ve heard her talking to her kitty, humming silly songs, and making monkey noises. Next I expect to hear, “No more monkeys.. on bed!”
Wish I could bottle this stuff. 🙂 I can’t wait until we have two little princesses to amaze us.
Nice post Brian. It’s so sweet to hear a daddy talk about his little girl. You sound proud….in a good way.
Great family picture too (on your gchat) from what I could see. Easter?
Anyway. Love you guys & miss hanging out!

And this is harmful also because it can increase risk of breast cancer due to more periods & more build up of estrogen carcinogens.
