Today started as a normal day – slapped the snooze and slept in til 7:20, took Brian to work and checked the email. Mom was online and I started telling her that I don’t know where to start with baby planning stuff – and she said she’d come over and help! Can anybody say WOO-HOO!?
So I went out to Hollie’s right away and cleaned her house fast as I could with the 5 munchkins running around and called mom as soon as I left. She had just left home. So I returned books to the library, found out how much it cost to ship something I have on ebay and bought a 6 month membership for Brian and me to the Hillsboro Aquatic Center. Can you say fun??? Oh, and I’m terribly out of shape – that’s not good for soon to be mommies.
Then mom and I sat down and started talking – trying to figure out where to start on the whole baby business. Just so you know, our house is a mess right now and I didn’t have time to clean it before she got here like I prefer. Oh well! 😉 I can’t do it all!!! Anyways, we decided that it would help us get moving on the whole business if we set up the crib! Yippee!!! I have been resisting this for 3 months or more!
So, I climbed up in the attic and proceeded to crawl around and sneeze in the dust. I handed the crib down piece by piece to mom and half an hour later, we had a dusted, beautiful crib assembled in the office! Hurrah! Then… oh no! WHERE DOES IT FIT???! Following the assembly procedure, we rearranged the ENTIRE office, including moving both desks, all three computers, the printer and three bookshelves. Lots of sweeping was done. (Can you say dust bunnies?)
So our office is now a BABY’s ROOM!!! WOW! It is really awesome. I am thrilled and looking forward to getting everything else ready. I could use help improving and modifying my gift registry… not because I’m trying to get you to buy things for us, but because that’s my shopping list and I want to be prepared. I am trying to get as much done during this, my second trimester as possible so that the third trimester and first few months home will be streamlined.
Ok – I’m sore and tired and want to spend time with hubby. G’night all!
