Anna’s first doctor’s visit (today) went better than I hoped! She was so good! Only a little fussy (even though the doctor visit was scheduled for her naptime) and she even half-smiled at the doctor.
Her head and weight are exactly 50th percentile. Her height is 75th… which means she is long for her age… I thought so! 😀
The nurse then brought in some really long needles and said that they were the ones for Anna…. no way! They were as long as the ones I used for my old horse! AAAAHH! Ok… I didn’t freak out, but I was surprised. She lay there on her back sucking at her fists til she got the shots… (3)
Then she scrunched up her face, opened her mouth, turned red…. and held her breath! hehe – she was pretty cute – too mad to scream. Then she let out one big scream and only cried for a couple minutes. By the time we were out to the car, she was almost asleep. Now, the doctor said that she may sleep more than usual or less than usual and may be fussy for 2-3 days. Well….. she is amazingly asleep! I am really glad for this… even if it’s just temporary. 🙂

Here is proof of her growth!
In her first month:
This week (8 weeks old):
And then just a cute picture of Anna and Papa:
So how much did she weigh and how long was she?
I am glad that she did well with her first shots.
i think brian just shrunk.
Oh yeah! She was 10 lbs. 11 oz. She was 23 inches long. Soo… 50th percentile weight and 75th in height… I thought she had stretched! 🙂 (Her head is also 50th percentile size)
I’m so glad she took the shots well! Look how much she has changed just since we were out there! She’s even cuter, if that’s possible! 🙂 I can’t wait until we all see eachother again!
P.S. Wasn’t there an indication that there might be something wrong with one of her kidneys when she was still in utero? If so have you ehard anything more about that?
