I’m pretty sure it was Him who created chivalry – He can even be said to embody true chivalry.
A manager at Fred Meyers was my hero today. I don’t know if he’d been sitting at a security camera watching my disaster prepare itself, but five seconds after the tupperware I was purchasing toppled and a stack of long shoe-shelf boxes tumbled around me, he showed up.
Anna had been screaming for about two minutes and I was hurrying to get the last couple lids and balance them precariously on top of my cart when everything began to fall. She was howling when the manager arrived to save the day and boxes were scattered around my feet (literally!). He didn’t ask any questions, except, “Can I help?” and then proceeded to pull the aisle back together.
Men, if you want to know what impresses a girl… and especially a flustered mother, be a hero, be chivalrous, open doors, carry bags, and for goodness sakes, don’t offer advice!
Thank you Fred Meyer’s manager!!!
Yay for the Fred Meyer manager!
Rachel you’re too cute.
