Unhappy hours here are somewhere between 5pm-11pm… sometimes all of them, but hopefully not. We have been sleeping really well, which is a huge blessing. Daytimes involve cry-times for mommy too when she doesn’t get enough sleep. Poor Brian – Carrie seems to cry for him every time he tries to rock her to sleep. Poor me, I don’t get to give Carrie to him as much. Ah well. Brian and I are missing our evening together time… you know, the time where we have uninterrupted thoughts and conversations? But it’s just for awhile and we are accepting of it. It’s for a pretty good cause. A pretty cute one too.
Speaking of, here are pictures:
-
- Almost 3 weeks old here - look how she has changed!
-
- Later that day (almost 3 weeks) - I laid her down to wake her up since it was almost meal time and my back was tired. Didn't work. I think she woke up a good half hour or more later. 🙂
-
- I sorted the art shelves for the first time since moving in! (they were just a jumble from the move)
-
- Great-Grandma Joan got to come for a visit with Uncle Kevin! Uncle Kevin brought a beautiful Sapphire for Carolyn (her birthstone). Here is Grandma reading Dr. Seuss to the girls.
-
- Me with two of my girls.
-
- Jordan with his drumstick.
-
- Carolyn was ready for her party!
-
- Maggie looking at her cake, which I decided to bake in a bundt pan. "It looks like a doughnut!"
-
- Gran had the arms of sleep! (Wish she was here right now!) Here is Amy too with her three month old!
-
- Our old neighbors came up too! It was great to see them!
-
- Grammy and her newest little grandgirl.
-
- Happy birthday song time to my three year old!
-
- Grandma snuggling her granddaughter. Awwwww
-
- Presents time! Great to see good friends.
-
- Later that day, everybody who was still here gathered around to watch the shuttle launch!
-
- It was pretty memorable!
-
- Jordan gets some auntie time.
-
- Little girl still fits on my lap laying down.
-
- I love her cheeks.
-
- I love her toes.
-
- She is very close to smiling!
-
- And... well, she knows how to cry too.
-
- The rain came today for the first time in months. The girls LOVED it. I have two complete sets of soaked clothing. And rain in the boots... apparently even the deep puddles needed stomping.
-
- They are as wet as they look, the little stinkers.
-
- And this is why I wanted a good-sized, ugly rug next to the back door. Now I just need a real drying rack.
Love the wet girls pictures! And the others too of course!!
so sorry I missed this big event!!! What beautiful children!!
