About Us
We have three beautiful daughters, born in 2007, 2009 and 2012 and a son born in 2009 (who arrived home December 3, 2011). After learning about the need for adoptive families of children with special needs, we began the process to adopt our son Jordan (who has Down Syndrome). He arrived home on December 3rd, 2011!. You can see photos from our trips by looking at June archives and Nov/Dec 2011 archives.
About James: We initially set out to adopt two little boys from the same orphanage. Tragically, just a week before traveling to meet them, our son James passed away of illness-induced juvenile diabetes. He was in the hospital just an hour before going home to Jesus. We rejoice that he is alive and well with Jesus.
My cousin and her husband live and care for orphans with special needs in China. The very first baby placed in their care was Corrie (alias Daisy with Holt). Over the years, she has remained in their care and now, AT LAST, a family is coming to bring her home to a forever family. She will not have to be transferred to an institution thanks to a family taking a leap of faith to bring her home.
Her family doesn't have the $25K to cover her adoption fees and travel expenses. Project Hopeful has set up a tax-deductible account to receive donations towards bridging that gap. I am partnering with her family to help raise those funds. See the Fundraising Page for details.
Wow! You certainly have cute kids.
