The power of a single digit

You are all aware, I am sure, of the many and diverse things that we could not do without our thumbs. A thumb makes an amazing difference to a hand… a hand wouldn’t hardly be a hand without one, one might say that a hand were a foot if it were not for this amazing digit.

Take for example the following things one does with thumbs:
Say “good job” from a distance by giving a thumbs up
Hold onto a glass of water
Hold onto a great many other things
give high fives
count to ten

and adding to my short list of most important things ever done with the thumb:
calming a tired baby

Anna has found her thumb. I am very thankful for this… although she can only find it when lying in her crib, she has found it and learned to suck on it. It is incredible the soothing effect it has. Because of the thumb, I have done the dishes, the laundry, watched a movie and have considered doing a great many other things. Yes world, the thumb is an amazing thing.

wowzers!!! I wondered if she would find it cause she was getting pretty “handy” 😉

I haven’t ordered any pics as yet. I don’t have the best places to display them. I do carry one in my purse though and show her to anyone that will look 🙂
