Maggie – 16 months

Maggie was 16 months old on Feb. 7th. How time has flown! She had a checkup with our sweet pediatrician yesterday and here are her stats:

31 1/4″ tall – 60th percentile. I believe she was at the 50th percentile six months ago and at the 25th percentile 3 months ago. 3 months ago she was 29″ tall. A few weeks ago she was eating EVERYTHING in sight and more. She was eating nearly double what Anna eats. I guess that was the growth spurt I thought it was! A growth spurt of just over 2 inches is a lot when you’re that little!

19 lbs. 4 oz. – that’s just under the 5th percentile. Three months ago, she was 18 pounds, 3 oz. which was right about the 5th percentile. I guess it’s a good thing she ate SOOOOo much during her growth spurt, because she did not get any thicker!

She had one immunization yesterday and they wanted to give it to her in her arm. I had already redressed her (except her tights) and requested a leg shot like usual. Really, though… her arms are not big enough for an arm shot! She is a teeny meeny with no fat deposits!

Anna was very small and ate like a bird until she was about two and a half. At that point, she started eating more and never went back to eating as little as she did before then. Who knows why!? Anna was about the 15-20th percentile her toddler days and now hangs out at about the 50th percentile. Maybe Maggie’s tiny because she moves non-stop? Or maybe because she has no teeth? Poor Maggie has been trying to cut all her front teeth for months! She still has two more to go before she has all eight incisors. I even dreamed she had new teeth the other night. If only it were so quick.
