Chicks, Park and Daughters

Here are the girls, both in their purple chairs reading books right by the bookshelf. Cute. I love to watch how Maggie imitates Anna and how Anna teaches and protects Maggie.

Have I already mentioned that the chicks have princess names now? Seems fitting for a bunch of female chicks. Hmm. And they are being named by a little princess adoree. So “Red” is now “Belle.” Belle is very scruffy and unbecoming right now. Please forgive the bad hair day…. month.

This is, of course, Snow White!

Big Stripes is Sleeping Beauty…. because somebody needed to be sleeping beauty.

And the little dusty colored one is…. not easy to guess: Cinderella!

Maggie loves to make her CHEEEeeeeeeese face when I take her picture.

Four princesses on a roost. There’s probably a dumb joke that could go with this but… I don’t really think it’s worth the effort.

Reading a book before bedtime:

Loving playing with Papa:

Silly cheese:

We went to the park in some sunshine this afternoon! It’s been too long! It felt so good. The camera battery died or I would have gotten better pictures, but here’s what I got with my first few shots.

My pretty big girl.

The personality of the girls was so very evident as we played. Anna ran and danced, spun and sang, arms out and hair blowing in the wind. Our dreamer. Maggie, bless her little risky soul, CLIMBED THE LADDER THAT ANNA JUST LEARNED TO CLIMB AT 3 YEARS OLD. We held our hands under her arms and she made it on her own 4 out of 6 times. She loved it. We were happy to leave and have our hearts strained like that any more.

Saying “cheese” when she should be paying attention:

All the way up!

Of note: Anna is a singer. Maggie is just learning to sing! They are cute to hear together. Anna making up songs. Maggie randomly chiming in with her sing-song voice.

First thing Maggie did at the park was run UP the slide. No help from a flabergasted Papa needed.

So anyway four princesses were sitting on a roost one. The first one turned to the second one and said, “Hey! You’re a chicken!” The second one turned to the first one and said, “Oh yeah? Well you stink!”

Lol well apparently Brian thought the 4 princesses in a row were too good a chance to pass for a joke-effort! I love the park pictures! And love hearing how the girls’ personalities emerge so beautifully! Anna twirling, Maggie running up slides – it’ll be fun to see what that’s like as they grow older!

Four little chickens, peeping on their roost,
One fell off an chipped its tooth!
Anna called her mommy and her mommy said:
No more peeping, it is time for bed!!
    (Repeat down to one chicken)

    😀
