First Circus!

We went to the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus on Saturday! The girls’ first circus! Unfortunately, it was the Zing Zang Zoom show… a mix of circus and magic tricks instead of the classic three ring circus. BUT, the girls didn’t know different and it was great! Think it damaged our ears it was so loud, but we survived. haha

Our tickets were in a really quiet sector which was great; we got to move around to the seats we wanted and Maggie was able to wander a bit and do lots of rapid jumping and being silly. Both girls were braver than I expected at something so loud and visually overwhelming.

People leaving the free pre-show I didn’t know about and heading back to their seats as we arrived:

One of the animal acts. Thankfully, there were still some elephants, horses, dogs and cats even though it wasn’t the classic show. No bears or tigers. 🙂

On Sunday, we had a full, but good day! Starting with church… which created great conversation about money, value systems and generosity. Then a friend’s baby shower, where there was lots of yummy treats, including six home-baked pies. Oh yum!!! Here’s the plum and the berry pie that I brought:

Then we had company for dinner! Laughter, good food… a blessing to us and hopefully to our guests too.

I couldn’t take those pies to the shower and leave Brian with nothing!

Sugar cookies!

Mom… these sprinkles are great. How many decades old do you think they are? And still providing high quality colored sprinkles! 😉
