Sharing Saturday – Handiwork

There is somebody I want to profile for you all. Well, two somebodies, really. Sarah and Rachel together host a blog that is currently called Handiwork for Lilly. They crochet, sew and otherwise craft useful and adorable item after item with all the money going to help bring an orphan home! These two, ages 13 and 15 are proving that being a teenager doesn’t mean you aren’t capable of blessing others in a BIG and TANGIBLE way.

Over time this blog has been called:
Handiwork for Elijah (benefiting the adoption of Sarah’s brother Elijah)
Handiwork for Tori (adopted!)
Handiwork for Anastasia (Adopted to be sisters with Tori! Anastasia, renamed Carrington has a story that starts out heartbreaking and ends with rejoicing! If you don’t think adoption saves lives, read the archives of this blog!)
Handiwork for Sergey – still needs a family
Handiwork for Eddie (being adopted!)
Handiwork for Noah (adopted!)
Handiwork for Carter
Handiwork for Jonathan (Adopted!)
Handiwork for Caleb (Being adopted!)
Currently Handiwork for Lilly!

Some of my favorite things they’ve made are my fish crocheted washrags, the toddler hat and definitely my cloth napkins! Send them an email… they take custom orders! (or just purchase something from their blog… you know you’re making a difference in a life by partnering with them!)
