Thanksgiving, Cider, and more!

Do you see the pictures of the Blendtec? Yes, I am excited!!! I’ll be posting meal recipes for Jordan as well as some homemade Pediasure recipes. Hopefully soon! I have to fine tune the Pediasure some more before sharing.

: Here is Anna holding her baby sister. How did I get so lucky!?

: She almost never takes a pacifier... but does sometimes. This picture cracks me up... arms swaddled, legs frogged. Cute!

: Remember that beer Brian made? (Go find the picture of beer in a little jelly jar for the conclusion)

: Look what I have! That's right, my envious friends. That is a Blentec. Google it. If blenders can make you jealous... this one will.

: Tower of baby food awe!

: Four meals for Jordan in quart jars! No more figuring out his meals from leftovers! He finally has a diet that I know is balanced and enough calories.

: This is apple cider. Fresh pressed. Being heated to 165 degrees for 10 minutes. (per http://www.homebrewexchange.net/content/how-make-hard-cider)

: The little $1.75 packet of cider yeast.

: The cold water bath so we didn't have to wait long for the cider to cool.

: Yeast settling into the cider. That's right... we're brewing hard cider.

: Cider in the fermenter! After 2 weeks, it was dry and surprisingly tart. We added a bit of sugar (dissolved in boiling water) and bottled it. We'll get to taste our fizzy cider wine next week!

: It turned out great! Very dark, pretty bitter, surprisingly fizzy!

: Thanksgiving! Brian held the happily sleeping Carolyn for an hour or two while she snoozed. First Thanksgiving since we got married when he didn't carve the turkey, I think.

: Aunt Jennifer time! We all had a lot of fun with ipads and iphones this Thanksgiving.

: The Chapman family Thanksgiving. We really know how to get rowdy! I didn't take hardly any pictures, but we had a really great time with family.

: And Melissa and I got an entire game of Agricola with no interruptions! AMAZING. I don't remember the last time I was anywhere with good company and only one (sleeping) child. Thanks Austin and Brian!
