Sharing Saturday – Passed over Babes… Ryan

I’m going to quote a little bit from two blog posts… first from http://www.covenantbuilders.blogspot.com/2011/11/passed-over-babes.html. (and you want to go there and read it all)

On Saturday I opened up the Angel Tree and began to scroll through the faces.

Many of them new faces… first time Angel Tree children.

But many were way too familiar. And it saddened me. Faces of children who have sat for two or more years on the tree.

Children who will AGAIN be hanging ON a tree this year instead of sitting UNDER it. Children who have spent one more year of their lives isolated and alone. Most of them passed over because of bad pictures or because of sad expressions on their faces. How to get them noticed? How to get them from being passed over another year??

There is a big movement going on right now to find families for some of these forgotten children. Don’t miss out! Be a part of God’s work. Because if redeeming orphans isn’t God’s work, then I don’t know what is.

And before I’m done for today – I want to share one more blog with you. http://justonemore4us.blogspot.com/2011/11/where-is-my-momma-monday-post-5.html

Out of all the kids I left behind, why do I all of a sudden find myself dreaming of “Ryan” safe and at home in my arms? All I can figure is that it’s the urgency of his situation. Deep down in my heart I know that he is running out of time and it terrifies me. …

I know that there are families considering “Ryan”. I also know that, as is true with most families, the finances are the biggest and most overwhelming obstacle. Let’s help make that obstacle a little smaller, shall we? Let’s show any family considering stepping out in faith to bring this precious little angel boy home that they are not alone but that there is an army of people ready to fight with them.

I have some children in my arms. And I have some children on my heart. If the Lord has something for you to do… it’s time to step out and do it.
